Christopher Smith started out as a writer on the television show Eastenders. His first film, Creep, was set in the London Underground and his second, Severance, was a brutal but humorous film about a business unit who are hunted by locals while on a retreat in a remote Eastern Bloc region. Triangle and Black Death are the films that have cemented Smith's reputation as one of the best horror directors of the current generation.
